Windows 10 assigns a number to every connected USB game controller. These appear in the mapping menu in the game as 'joy1' and 'joy2' etc. If you have multiple devices. The number corresponds to their order on the USB Game controller list and since it's filled in from the top down, the last device connected will be 'joy0' and the first connected of three would end up as 'joy2'.
