Mar 03, 2006 Hi, and thanks for reading. I just got Tekken 3 in a ISO file and ePSXe 1.6.0. I know how to make a rip from Playstation 2 Games.

SilentStep, there are two reasons he said that. For one, if you 'get' an ISO-either from the internet, your best buddy, or some guy in a dark alleyway, chances are that it's not going to be of very good quality. There are so many problems with the ISOs floating around the web, it's not even funny.

Secondly, it's against NGemu's. One of the things i'd suggest is that you play it off the CD to see if your ISO might be corrupted. 'course, if you dont have it, then that doesnt work eh? A common thing for warez groups to do is to take out the music and the movies-that makes a much smaller file that they have to upload. So you might've gotten Tekken Lite-no music or movies. Okay, I'll play. I have my honest-to-goodness store-bought copy of Tekken 3, and I used CloneCD to make an image of it, and when I play using that image I get no music.

Ps2 Emulator

Same exact problem with Dead or Alive and with Tempest X. In all these games I get sound effects and voice, but no music.

What am I doing wrong? Also with Wipeout and Wipeout XL, I can play those fine using the original CD-ROM but they won't play at all using the CloneCD image (I'm saying image rather than iso because CloneCD won't create an iso, as best I can tell). Any advice appreciated. I just started using ePSXe this weekend on my homebuilt arcade cabinet and I love it.

Tekken

I know this thread is old, but's it's new to me. I also have Tekken 3. One I 'got' from a friend, about 50 mb w/o movies or music. Another I backed up from my own disk, about 700mb with movies & music. Both play exactly alike with the exception of movies & music. My question: Can taking out the movies & music & making it a 'lite' version seriously make that much of a space difference? I mean hell thats quite a space saver!

If anyone knows how to do that let me know! On second thoughts, scratch that. It'll just confuse & fustrate my dumb ass. I'm still learning. Well, as you can see it is possible, those are so called: CDrips. I know how to make a rip from Playstation 2 Games, but have no idea how it looks like in good ol' PSX (but probably in some cases it looks simmilar). AFAIK, problem with ripping Tekken 3 is that all that music and FMVs are in one large file, and that probably involve hex editing, and I'm too lazy to do that (well the same situation is with PS2 Tekken Tag Tournamet ).

As for more details about ripping, I think you should look in google. Right, that's the warez version. A lot of warezers do that because, hey, it's a lot easier to upload 50mb than 700mb, not to mention beggers cant be choosers on the warez end (no videos and music?

And you'd be surprised how much space MDECs take up (and especially CDDA and redbook audio!). It does, like kaneda said, sometimes involve hacking the game. So if you really dont know what's up.just stay away.

Some games are easy though. Nw95482 has been messing around with the CDDA tracks of Ridge Racer for some time now (he managed to fit the game, sans music, onto a floppy disc ).
